Project manager – Kin + Carta

Kin + Carta Connect is looking for a Project Manager to work on our client projects from our Chicago office. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful delivery of our clients’ projects as well as identifying additional sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Kin + Carta teams to execute million dollar content, commerce and MarTech projects, while building strong client relationships and identifying future areas of growth within a client.
  • Collaborate through Kin + Carta’s capabilities to manage multi-disciplinary team projects to successfully deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Responsible for delivering projects throughout the project lifecycle from inception to commissioning.
  • Work with other Kin + Carta disciplines to estimate, plan, and demarcate each project.
  • Manage disciplines that may be outside of the workplace or current country.
  • Demonstrating mastery of strategic, creative, technological and business management environments, our PMs are supported and sponsored to hone their skills to provide a human advantage in everything they do.

Minimum qualifications

  • Over 8 years of experience managing all aspects of delivery for a range of projects e.g. creative marketing, data driven feature development, site design and building on one of our favorite platforms
  • Experience with platform technologies (eCommerce, CMS, Martech, etc.)
  • Ability to create a project plan and pricing model for the proposed project with guidance from ED. Proficient in the development of employment contracts, including requests for statements of work and change in scope.
  • Ability to manage a response to a call for tenders under the supervision of the ED. Includes response framing, articulation of project scope / requirements, Kin + Carta capabilities, and detail of a project approach.
  • Adept at identifying project skills to fill team roles. Leads the project estimation process, gathers and consolidates contributions from other disciplines.
  • Demonstrated management of several small projects simultaneously or a single complex project independently. Mastery of all dimensions of the delivery process.
  • Extremely proficient with PM tools (estimation, monitoring, resourcing, risk management, financial management, MS Project, JIRA, etc.) with the necessary expertise to guide internal and client teams on use and applicability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Agile leadership and leading teams to deliver human-centric solutions
  • Mastery of financial management and modeling tools and financial analysis techniques.
  • Able to consult with clients to identify the most appropriate delivery approach which can be a hybrid of methodologies
  • Familiar with all disciplines and able to independently lead large, highly complex technological projects.
  • Experience in risk assessment and management within your own projects
  • Experience in project monitoring and business reporting / forecasting
  • Proven track record of solid budget and scope management
  • A desire to bring transparency to the sales team and an ability to grow and maintain the confidence of your teams and your customers
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong motivation and a desire to learn
  • Experience in managing small to mid-size cross-functional teams
  • Proactive in managing the expectations of agency teams and clients
  • Exposure to complex Martech systems, including content and commerce management
